The most famous streets of Carnival: Calle Arriba and Calle Abajo
In Las Tablas, the capital of Los Santos, there are the two most famous tunas in the country, the tuna of Calle Arriba and the tuna of Calle Abajo. Each street of Las Tablas has its queen. Also, his own songs and floats that give shine to the big party.
Each of the streets, during the expected parade, sings intending to make fun of the opposite lane. Both streets compete to have the best float, dresses, songs, and more. Moments that all attendees always enjoy.
The queens of the Carnival of Las Tablas 2020
Each year, the chosen queens of Calle Arriba and Calle Abajo, which face each other in a healthy and fun competition during the carnival. The queens stroll through the streets of Las Tablas, each one is its floats and their tunas.
To be the queen of the carnival, you must be born as queen. Their families are responsible for establishing what the year of their coronation will be. Likewise, every queen, besides being beautiful, must have charisma, responsibility, and other great qualities.

Queen of Calle Abajo: S.R.M. Grace Marlene Cano.
Queen of Calle Arriba: S.R.M. Fianeth Corro.
Order of the Carnival of Las Tablas 2020
Las Tablas Carnival is organized well in advance to achieve a quality celebration.
Presentation of the queen with a dance. In that dance must be present the previous queen and the next to be crowned.
Tour of the queens that leave. The departure is made in a symbolic car on the day of its coronation. In this way, they say goodbye to his reign. Upon returning from the tour, the new inauguration is done, and that is where the carnival really begins.
The new queens dance and sing cheering everyone present. This is the day after his coronation, in a great atmosphere of music and joy.
Then the so-called “Burial of the sardine,” the top on is carried out. This is done on Ash Wednesday, in the early morning hours. In Las Tablas, the final day of the carnival faces both streets, its queens, with the traditional and expected Topón de Las Tablas.
